Weather
& Clothing
Summer
days are usually sunny and warm - in the 70's and 80's -
but always be prepared for sudden afternoon thunder showers.
Evenings will be cool to mild - 40's and 50's.
In
September the air turns crisp with chilly nights - 30's
and 40's - with warming days - 60's and 70's. Temps will
cool as the Fall wears on. The first snows can fly by early
Fall.
Winters
are not severe, but do bring warm clothing, boots, gloves
and hats. Although not the daily norm, there are numerous
mild days throughout the Winter months.
This
is blue jean country and you'll want comfortable but sturdy
shoes. If you plan on hiking the trails, good hiking boots
are a must. Jackets and sweaters are recommended regardless
of the season for the cool, high country evenings.
