After that, get ready to explore Rocky Mountain National Park. Hiking and fishing are both popular activities here, although even a simple drive through the park can make for a special round of wildlife watching. Biking is another favorite sport that can be enjoyed on the various trails in town. Don't forget to check out the Shop's climbing gym while you're there, too!

Outside the park offers just as much fun by providing thrilling outdoor recreation that is perfect for the entire family to enjoy. During the warm summer months, you can trot through the pines on horseback or go boating and cool off in the refreshing waters of Lake Estes.

Rafting the Purdue and Colorado rivers can also be arranged with one of the companies outside of town—a little extra preparation that's sure to be worth it on an activity that's made especially for groups. Don't miss the go-karts, bumper cars and mini golf at Fun City either!

Finally, we'd like to share a few of the indoor-based activities of Estes Park, which can make a great pairing with an active time outdoors. Before or after a visit to the Rocky Mountain National Park, your group might want to see the RMNP Museum, based at the Moraine Park visitor center at the top of Trail Ridge Road. The Estes Park Area Historical Museum and McGraw Ranch are among the other museums in town. Indoor recreation can also be found at the local bowling alley, or one of the music venues like our neighbors at the Rock Inn Mountain Tavern.
